Peggy Tolleson

Trustee

Appointed to fill a Niles Township Board vacancy in 2020 and then elected to a full term, Trustee Tolleson wasted little time in dedicating herself to supporting and developing important services that Niles Township offers. She has never slowed down.

Trustee Tolleson can be counted on to share information about the essential services provided by Niles Township at multiple events throughout the community. She represents the Township as part of District 69’s Community Schools Work Group and at other important community initiatives.

She works with Bundled Blessings Diaper Bank on behalf of the Township and volunteers time there. Bundled Blessings provides diapers for our Niles Township Food Pantry.

She serves on the Skokie Health Equity Network Steering Committee and is co-Chair of the Network’s Access to Behavioral Health team.  This work has strengthened Township’s connections with many of our community-based healthcare providers and local Federally Qualified Heathcare Centers.

Trustee Tolleson was born in Evanston and grew up near Atlanta. She moved back to the Chicago area after attending the University of South Carolina and has been a Skokie resident now for well over 30 years.

Her career in Specialty, Natural and Organic foods was a natural stepping stone to volunteering in the Niles Township Food Pantry.
