Mazhar Khan

Mazhar Khan is a Morton Grove resident and has been an active member of the Morton Grove community for years.
He serves on the Fire and Police Commission for the Village of Morton Grove. Mazhar Khan has been playing an active role in recruiting police officers and firemen. As a part of his Commission, he is responsible for the recruitment and promotions of sworn fire and police department personnel, including disciplinary action when required. He is also very active in community relations, representing people from Asian backgrounds. Mazhar takes pride in working with the interfaith team of the Northshore suburbs, where people of different faiths get together on one platform and work in harmony.
Mazhar believes in serving the Community at large, promoting a culture of inquiry, and thinking strategically, globally, and futuristically, taking into account the community's needs. For over 10 years, Mazhar has volunteered in many community organizations and affiliations, complemented by his science and engineering degree in Power Plants. He serves as a member of the Executive Council and is the Vice President of MCC. Mazhar Khan is actively involved in Operational management and directs the facility operations of MCC Academy of Morton Grove.
He was an instrumental administrator for Indy Parks and Recreation before moving to Morton Grove in the late 90s. During his employment with Indy Parks & Recreation, he exhibited very successful management of a 6 million-dollar budget and more than 100 facilities under his supervision. He loves to address difficult issues and generate solutions.
As a part of his career, he has also administered and managed maintenance operations for the O’Hare airport facilities in the City of Chicago.
