Since his first term as Trustee in 2009, Mark Collins has overseen and served as community liaison to the Niles Township Food Pantry. For over a decade, he has been instrumental in plotting the Pantry's evolution in response to the community's growing needs.

As Niles Township Trustee, he helped craft and initiate the Niles Township College Scholarship Fund with Oakton Community College. He created the Breakfast Bar Program to address food insecurity in our schools.

Trustee Collins, who has the longest tenure on the Board, continues his many roles as an avid sponsor and volunteer in multiple school activities. He is a well-known spokesperson for several community organizations, including Niles Township’s local Chambers of Commerce, and represents the Township at functions and gatherings. 

Highly active in his community and passionate about educational opportunities for all, Trustee Collins serves on the Niles Township Education Foundation board and the Skokie Hospital Advisory Board. He previously served as Vice President of Legislation on the School District 69 PTA Board and as a member of the Advisory Commission on Human Services for the Village of Skokie.
