Trustee Don  Gelfund has served on the Board since 2009 and is the Niles Township Food Pantry Foundation president.

In addition to his work developing several current programs benefiting Township residents, he has served as “host emcee” to Lincolnwood Fest in his home village for the past nine years. He has lived there since 1996 and was their Madeleine Grant Volunteer of the Year award winner in 2015.

Trustee Gelfund first moved to Niles Township in 1974 attending the Fairview Schools and Niles West and holds bachelor's degree from Bradley University. Married to his wife Lauren, they are the proud pet parents of two rescue cats.
